I feel like I've fulfilled some important parental duty, right up there with seeing your kid off to college. Wilder had his first ski lesson:

Yesterday morning, Wilder and I headed up to Steven's Pass under sunny blue skies, armed with coffee and hot chocolate and bacon and egg sandwiches on English muffins.  Then he went off to his lesson while I went snowboarding, dropping in every other run to cheer him on, receive compliments from the instructors (“Has he skied before?”), take photos and just generally be stoked about knowing and getting to raise such a cool kid. This is the kind of thing I had in mind when we decided to become parents.
